Health Improvement Manager
I manage the Health Improvement team. The team undertakes work in the areas of long-term conditions, including obesity, smokefree and alcohol harms. It also has a focus on settings and targeted population approaches to public health – such as early childhood and workplaces. We also provide support to Auckland DHB through the regional service for cervical screening registry.
I previously spent 10 years in the Ministry of Health, initially managing public health contracts, then moving to service development and design, and finally as principal advisor for research, coordinating the Ministry’s research investment and research sector relationships. I moved to Auckland in 2014 and joined Auckland Regional Public Health Service to further my management experience and interests in health improvement.
