I am general manager of the Auckland Regional Public Health Service.
I have a BA in nursing and education, and a graduate diploma in health science (health management). I began my career in health as a registered nurse.
I joined Auckland Regional Public Health Service in February 2015 having led the Ministry of Health’s National Screening Unit as group manager for the previous three years. Prior to that I was national screening coordinator for the breast and cervical screening programmes. I managed all the unit’s six programmes at different times – the National Cervical Screening Programme, BreastScreen Aotearoa and the four antenatal and newborn screening programmes.
