Public Health Medicine Specialist
I am a public health medicine specialist and medical officer of health, responsible for tuberculosis and Hansen’s disease in the region, and also the supervision of medical registrar training at ARPHS. I joined the service in 2011, working across multiple portfolios including TB control, informatics, environmental diseases such as legionella and vector borne diseases, and the built environment. From this experience I have developed strong interests in communicable disease control and health equity. I am also a member of the New Zealand College of Public Health Medicine’s Finance and Risk Committee.
