Public Health Medicine Specialist
I am a public health physician and General Practitioner. In my previous role, I served as the National Public Health Service (NPHS) - Northern Region Clinical Director for 15 years overseeing the clinical performance of the service.
Prior to that, I have held roles at the Ministry of Health and district health board planning and funding directorate. I am a past president of the New Zealand College of Public Health Medicine.
Areas of particular interest to me include governance, leadership, public health communications, and health equity. NPHS has an important role to play in advancing and protecting the health of people and that is what I work to achieve in my role.
