Auckland Regional Public Health Service can confirm that residents of The Vincent apartments in Auckland’s CBD have been cleared to return to normal daily life.

Last week it was confirmed that an AUT student who lives at The Vincent, and is currently in quarantine at Jet Park, had COVID-19.

All people linked to the apartments, and not associated with the case, who were tested for COVID-19 have returned negative results.

Any health workers living at the apartment building have also now been cleared to return to work. These people had been asked to remain in isolation, even if they had returned a negative test result, as they work in higher-risk settings.

Residents have been reminded to continue being vigilant for the symptoms of COVID-19, especially over the coming fortnight. Symptoms can include one or more of the following:

  • New or worsening cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose
  • Fever
  • Temporary loss of smell
  • Difficulty breathing.

Residents have been advised to call their doctor or Healthline (0800 358 5453) for advice in the event they do experience symptoms.
